Due 5/18. Between 1959-1965, noted railroad photographer Louis Cerny was a student at the University of Illinois. Cerny amassed a considerable number of photos of rail traffic powered by first generation and early second generation diesels. Herein, Yanosey presents some of Cerny's work including IC, EJ&E, CB&Q, TP&W, PRR, C&EI, Santa Fe, and a host of other lines all over the state of Illinois. 128 gloss pages.

Due 7/18. IC and GM&O operations into and out of St. Louis are covered in this title. The images are brought forth to the 1972 merger as ICG. Includes freight and passenger operations, all types of motive power, rolling stock, yards, terminal facilities, etc. The colorful paint schemes of the two predecessors are featured as is a section on Peabody Coal. 128 gloss pages.
